Back in September, we shared a blog outlining the prioritized action steps for the first 100 days of Hold the Rope. We also made a promise: to deliver a mid-December report card showing our progress. Transparency is one of our guiding principles, so here’s the update.

Below, you’ll find the priorities we outlined in September, along with a brief summary of what we’ve accomplished. Next month we’ll share the priorities for our next 100 days.

• Introductory landing page – HoldtheRope.com
If you’re reading this, you’ve likely noticed that we’ve created more than a simple landing page. However, it’s still not the full go-to-market site we plan to launch next year.

• Weekly blog updates
If you’ve been keeping track, you’ll see we fell short of posting weekly. One of my mentors wisely said, “There’s a difference between saying something and having something to say.” We’ve realized we didn’t always have something meaningful to share every week.

• Enlist a core group of development partners from our core user communities to give real-time feedback
We’ve been blessed with an exceptional group of mission leaders and experts who’ve graciously provided invaluable feedback. Their insights have been game changing.

• Refine “job-to-be-done” value proposition for key market segments (churches, mission agencies, national ministry/missions, missionaries)
This has been a major focus. Instead of asking, “What’s our value proposition?” we reframed the question to, “What problem are we trying to solve?” Our conclusion: far too many Jesus-followers are disengaged from God’s mission among the nations.

• Refine Minimally Viable Product (MVP) specs and features
We’ve partnered with a development team to outline the MVP specs and features. These will guide our beta test scheduled for 2025.

• Develop wireframe of Progressive Web App (PWA)
This has been our biggest bottleneck. Although we’re working with world-class creatives on branding and design, progress has been slower than anticipated. However, momentum is building, and we expect to catch up in January.

• Engage developer team for the PWA
We’ve engaged a developer team and meet with them weekly to monitor progress.

• Begin content creation library
We’ve developed a content roadmap for 2025 that outlines what we need, who will create it, and the timelines for completion.

• Connect with potential partners
We’re in active conversations with beta test and content partners every week.

• Build advisory team for counsel and expertise
Although we haven’t formalized an advisory team yet, the group of professionals offering their expertise has been incredibly encouraging.

Finally, we believe that the best innovations come not from chasing good ideas but from tackling good problems. Falling in love with a problem—rather than our own ideas—keeps us open to the best possible solutions. That’s exactly where we want to exist.
