Far too many Jesus-followers are disengaged from God’s mission among the nations. They don’t have access to global God stories of how the gospel is transforming lives in even the hardest to reach corners of the earth. They are unclear about what still needs to be done and where new gospel beachheads are most needed. This lack of engagement is a spiritual petri dish for complacency and dearth of creativity about how everyone can be involved.
This is a big challenge, worthy of risk and fertile ground for innovation.
Hold the Rope is embracing this challenge with a new progressive web application (PWA) that begins with the invitation to get On Mission with God Among the Nations in a 30-Day Adventure.
What if your small group, house church or congregation were to invest just five minutes a day, for thirty days—a whopping 2.5 hours—on a guided discovery learning experience to explore God’s mission among the nations?
Imagine this guided discovery experience was curated to prioritize how God is at work through the missional partners with whom your church is already engaged. What could happen if individuals engaged with global God stories, partner updates, hard to reach people groups and current event prayer requests together as a learning community?
What if the entire 30-Day Adventure could be anchored in a four-week teaching series, supported by small group discussion and backstopped with daily reflection around two discipleship questions: What is God saying to you? and What are you going to do in response?
Our hypothesis is that when people hear fresh global God stories, they pray more. When they understand where gospel advance is most needed, they give more. And prayerful giving opens the door for kingdom action everywhere.
We believe this kind of experience could be transformational for individuals, small groups and entire congregations. It could help missionaries and the organizations in which they serve connect more deeply with supporting partners.
It’s worth the risk of innovation. If you’re curious and would like to inquire about our early adopter community, click here.
