A History of God's Faithfulness in Poland

Lutheran and Reformed communities date to the Reformation; Baptists and other free churches grew later, endured Nazi and communist pressure, and rebuilt after 1989. That history now shapes how Poland’s churches understand local leadership, witness, and mission. The next chapter will be strongest when local churches disciple their own people and engage post-Catholic Poles, university students, and minorities with biblical clarity and cultural wisdom.

  1. Early Beginnings

    Lutheran and Reformed communities date to the Reformation.

  2. 1900s

    Baptists and other free churches grew later, endured Nazi and communist pressure, and rebuilt after 1989.

  3. Independence Era

    Polish evangelicals rebuilt churches after communism while remaining a small minority within a strongly Catholic culture.

  4. Modern Movement

    Recent Polish ministry increasingly addresses secular youth, Roma communities, migrants, and people disillusioned with institutions.

  5. Today

    Poland's evangelical minority now ministers in a rapidly secularizing society while maintaining a small focused UPG frontier.
