A History of God's Faithfulness in Pakistan

Nineteenth-century Presbyterian, Anglican, Methodist, and other missions built churches, schools, hospitals, and translation work across British India and the region that became Pakistan. After 1947, Pakistani Christians increasingly led these institutions and congregations amid growing social pressure. Today’s mission depends on resilient local pastors, sound Bible training, and careful witness among Muslim and tribal communities.

  1. Early Beginnings

    19th-century Presbyterian, Anglican, Methodist, and other missions built churches, schools, hospitals, and translation work.

  2. 1900s

    Pakistani Christians later assumed leadership amid rising pressure.

  3. Independence Era

    Pakistani pastors assumed leadership of minority churches while growing legal and social pressure reshaped public Christian life.

  4. Modern Movement

    Pakistan's churches now combine education, medical service, minority advocacy, and careful witness under blasphemy pressure.

  5. Today

    Pakistan remains one of the world's largest frontier mission fields, with 782 UPGs and severe pressure on its Christian minority.
